Pre-fabricated hangars POLYGON are built and installed in a short time and this is due to modern construction technology which allows to build arched buildings at any time of the year from scratch to turnkey delivery of the hangar, in a period of 2 months. This is possible due to the complete supply of metal structures of the building that reduces the complexity of the processes at the construction site.

The arrangement of the foundation at the construction site and the production of a set of structures for the hangar in the workshop often occur simultaneously that significantly decreases the construction time of the hangar and directly affects the cost of construction. While the foundation is being prepared, the necessary structures from LGSF profiles are manufactured at the factory where they are assembled into ready-made construction trusses. After preparing the structural elements of the hangar, such as bases and trusses, they are delivered as a complete set by transport to one or more stages to the construction site where the hangar is being installed. In a short time a small team of builders installs the entire hangar.

SCOPE OF APPLICATION OF A HANGAR

Industrial hangars have proven themselves in the agricultural and the industrial sectors.

In agriculture the construction of hangars is necessary for agricultural companies and farmers to store crops and agricultural machinery. Construction of a granary, a vegetable store, a fruit store, conservation of feed for farm animals and a poultry farm. Hangars are built and used for the maintenance of agricultural machinery, such as combines and tractors. Frame buildings are erected as warehouses and storage facilities for storing fertilizers. Specially equipped hangars are also used for keeping livestock: calf or cow sheds, pig farms.

In the industrial sector arched hangars are erected for plants, factories, as workshops and warehouses for finished products. OPTIONS

At the request of the customer, the construction of the hangar can be carried out in two modifications: a cold hangar or a warm hangar. The cold option provides for covering the hangar with roofing corrugated board (profiled sheet). Roofing corrugated board is quite rigid and able to withstand the design loads. A warm hangar involves the use of a typesetting sandwich consisting of the following layers: corrugated board, vapor barrier, mineral wool, wind barrier, and surface layer from corrugated board. The thickness of the insulation is selected according to the heat engineering calculation.

Upon request, it is possible to carry out individual design which allows to implement all ideas based on urgent needs and build a prefabricated building that meets all customer requirements. It is possible to build a hangar that has not one gate, but several different ones. If necessary, we can provide openings for glazing windows. The internal volume can be divided into several different rooms.

RELIABILITY OF HANGARS

ANTI-CORROSION PROTECTION

It is worth noting separately that the steel structures of an industrial hangar made of LGSF have high-quality anti-corrosion protection.

Zinc protects against corrosion and gives the metal frame durability. Zinc coating on LGSF profiles is distributed over the entire surface of the steel. Without a doubt, the service life of metal structures and the building as a whole depends on the thickness of the zinc coating.

Zinc coating can be applied in various thicknesses. In this regard, there are several classes of galvanizing.

— P (increased) zinc layer thickness is from 40 to 60 microns inclusive, the layer weight is from 570 to 855 g/sq.m.

— 1st class of zinc layer thickness is from 18 to 40 microns inclusive, the layer weight is from 258 to 570g/sq.m.

– 2nd class of zinc layer thickness is from 10 to 18 microns inclusive, the layer weight is from 142.5 to 258 g/sq.m.

Thus, P and 1st galvanizing classes are used in more difficult climatic conditions and aggressive environments. Rolled metal of class 2 is used in conventional construction. A thicker coating leads to an increase in the cost of metal elements, so it is necessary to take a balanced approach in each specific case. In general, anti-corrosion protection in practice gives a service life of more than 50 years.

FOUNDATION

Several types of foundation are used for industrial arched hangars, such as a tape, a columnar, and a glass type. The choice of the type of foundation depends on the following parameters: overall dimensions, purpose of the building, geological conditions of the site, economic feasibility, and its design features. The choice is made at the beginning of a hangar design.
