Why a superstructure is the smartest solution

When you need more space but can't build from scratch

No available land

We build upward — +30–100% of space on the existing plot without new land

Worried about the foundation

LSTC is 3–5 times lighter than concrete — minimal load on existing structure

Need it fast

Installation from 60 days — no wet processes, year-round construction

Can't stop your business

100% bolt installation without welding or wet processes — your business runs as usual

Complex permits

We handle design per DBN standards, load calculations, building permits and commissioning act

Fear of overpaying

Fixed contract price — deviation ≤ 3%. Staged payment: 20/30/30/20%

Key point: LSTC superstructure solves all 6 problems at once — build upward without new land, frame is 3–5 times lighter than concrete, installation from 60 days without wet processes, business operates as usual.

Why LSTC is ideal for superstructures

Light Steel Thin-Walled Constructions (LSTC) is the optimal technology for superstructures and extensions. Minimum weight with maximum strength.

3-5x

lighter than concrete structures — minimal load on the foundation

100%

bolt connections — no welding or wet processes on site

365

days a year — installation in any season, regardless of weather

50+

years of service life for galvanized steel structures

LSTC complies with DBN V.2.6-198:2014 — the Ukrainian building code for thin-walled steel structures. REDICON manufactures all structures at its own factory in Dnipro with full quality control.

Frequently asked questions

Can my building support a superstructure?
This is the first thing we check. Our engineer conducts a free building inspection and calculates the load-bearing capacity. LSTC structures are 3–5 times lighter than concrete, making them suitable even for buildings with limited structural reserves.
How long does a superstructure take?
From 2 months — depending on the area and complexity. Design: 2–4 weeks. Structure manufacturing: 3–4 weeks. Installation: from 4 weeks. Exact deadlines are fixed in the contract.
Are permits required for a superstructure?
Yes, a superstructure requires design documentation and approvals. We fully handle the design and documentation support — you don't need to figure it out on your own.
Will my business stop during construction?
No. LSTC technology involves "dry" installation — bolt connections without welding or concrete work. Your facility continues to operate as usual.
What is the cost of a superstructure?
From $430/sq.m — depending on complexity, number of floors and finishing. We calculate the exact cost for free after inspecting the site. The price is fixed in the contract.
Can a superstructure be built in winter?
Yes. LSTC is a "dry" technology without wet processes. Installation is possible 365 days a year, regardless of weather conditions.
Is foundation reinforcement required for a superstructure?
In 80% of cases — no. Foundations are designed with a 20–50% safety margin per DBN V.2.1-10:2018. An LSTC frame weighing 25–40 kg/m² typically fits within the existing reserve. The exact answer comes from a technical inspection, which REDICON conducts free of charge at the consultation stage.
What is the fire resistance of LSTC structures?
REI 45–90 depending on the design solution. The main method: cladding with 2 layers of fire-resistant gypsum board = REI 90. Complies with DBN V.1.1-7:2016 for commercial and administrative buildings.
Can you add 2 floors with LSTC?
Yes. The total load of 2 LSTC floors (160–240 kg/m²) is comparable to 1 concrete floor (150–250 kg/m²). The decision is made after a technical inspection of the foundation and wall load-bearing capacity.
What is included in the turnkey superstructure price?
The price from $430/m² includes: building inspection, design (detailed drawings, HVAC/electrical/plumbing sections), permits, LSTC frame manufacturing at the factory, installation, 150mm insulation, facade, roof, interior finishing, commissioning certificate. Separately paid: foundation reinforcement (if needed), utility networks and elevators.
What is the difference between an extension and a superstructure?
A superstructure means adding extra floors upward on an existing building (no new land needed, from $430/m²). An extension means horizontal expansion (new rooms to the side, requires its own foundation, from $400/m²). REDICON performs both using LSTC turnkey.
When is LSTC not suitable for a superstructure?
LSTC is not suitable for: spans over 12m without intermediate supports, loads over 500 kg/m² (heavy industrial equipment), aggressive chemical environments (acids, alkalis), seismic zones above 7 points. For 90%+ of commercial superstructures, LSTC is the optimal solution.
